Early Life & Lineage
Robert Worth was baptised on 25th December 1739 at Walkhampton (🔒Walkhampton Parish Baptism Register, Plymouth & West Devon Record Office).
He was the eldest son of Robert Worth (1710–1782) and his wife Mary Worth (née Kiveal).
Marriage & Family Connections
On 23rd April 1765, Robert married Agnes Atwell at Walkhampton (🔒Walkhampton Parish Marriage & Banns Register, Plymouth & West Devon Record Office).
A few years later, on 12th May 1770, Robert’s younger brother Michael married Agnes’ sister, Elizabeth Atwell.
Together, Robert and Agnes had five children:
- Grace Worth (b. 1765)
- John Worth (1768–1805)
- Robert Worth (1774–1810)
- Richard Worth (1776–1803)
- Margaret Worth (b. 1779)
Death & Burial
Robert was buried at Walkhampton on 2nd July 1787 (🔒Walkhampton Parish Burials Register, Plymouth & West Devon Record Office).
Agnes survived her husband as a widow for over twenty years until her burial at Walkhampton on 23rd June 1806 (🔒Walkhampton Parish Burials Register, Plymouth & West Devon Record Office).
